The Craft

I came to paper by an unlikely road. Trained as a computer engineer, I spent my early years in the tech world before I understood that precision and beauty were never opposites—and I have never once regretted it.

In my studio stand two vintage Chandler & Price letterpresses from circa 1890, a guillotine dating back to 1900, and a modern hot foil press. I work with the finest paper — every technique chosen in conversation with you, and only when it serves your vision.

No two pieces are ever the same. Nor should they be.

The Studio’s Origin

She doesn’t rush.

Camelia was born in Romania. She and her brother were chosen—completely, unconditionally—by a family who believed that love was something you showed, not just said. She grew up held by that devotion, and by her grandmother, who never stopped trying to teach her French.

She refused. The way only a child can—with certainty, and without knowing what she was refusing.

They are all gone now. And so, she carried the language she never learned into the name of everything she built:

Amélie.
